The Grist Mill

We had a wonderful road trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The drive was really pretty. I love road trips in the United States....the journey is almost as good as the destination. I tried to take as many back roads as possible, and the payoff was great as we had some amazing scenery driving through the foothills of Tennessee. We stayed at a really nice hotel just above the town of Gatlinburg, and had a great time wandering around, shopping, and taking long walks.

Beautiful image!

I love Tennessee, especially the southeastern part.
Have you been to Dollywood? We all enjoyed it immensely. I remember fondly the fried green tomatoes sold in a little shop (actually a window!) in the craft section of the park. The rides are family friendly and old-fashioned in the most beautiful way.
