How About This For A Puzzle?

Most of these reliefs at the Borobudur had to pieced together block by block. Can you imagine putting together that puzzle?

Isn't that amazing? I'd hate to try.

Sounds even harder than trying to get the pattern on wallpaper to match up with the strip next to the one being hung... especially if the room is not quite "square", as rooms never are. But at least wallpaper can be slid, while the glue is still wet. I imagine it wouldn't have been easy to slide stone blocks. And one mistake, a whole section would have to be carved over. I think they had more patience then than we do today.

This is a piece of cake compared to a 1000-piece all blue sky jigsaw puzzle!

What a beautiful piece of art though.
