Mom and Pop Shop in India

This was the start of our long trek into the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India. This is typical Asia, actually...a little shop sprouts out from so many homes... you wonder with so many of these little shops all over the place, how does one make a living and compete with each other?

It might be good if they had an occasional sale. I suppose a lot of it is for self satisfaction. A business is a business. The details are in the size.

How can laundry be a fascinating image? I believe it is because there is a person on the lower corner of shot. Excellent photograph!
